“Behind Narrative” merges a series of works that offer a wonderful combination of sophisticated figurative, realist, and mannerist paintings, which incorporate contemporary elements of urban identities of New York City, and video as cinematic narrative structures with cross-cultural elements of Slavic culture onto the cultural tropes of the Western world. Each artist invites the viewer with a degree of curiosity and discernment to explore new visual worlds and their creation.
